Event Details

It's the Albuquerque area's first 48-hour Hackathon!

Pre-registration is now CLOSED - But you can still participate!

Join us at 5:30 today to get in on the action!

THE BASICS:

A hackathon is an intense period dedicated to designing, coding, making and deploying. Whether you seek to demonstrate a concept for a product or tool built with code, hardware... or something else, hackathons can provide a high energy, low risk environment for bringing teams together to make something happen. Hackathons are about doing.

Orientation and Kickoff - Your event coordinators will welcome you and present an introduction to Code 66.

Team pitches - Each prospective team leader will present a quick (2 minutes max!) sketch of their idea and needs to engage potential team members.

Hacking - Teams will hack on their demos.

Demos - Each team will demo their projects for the group and judges.

Prizes - The event coordinators and judges will choose the winning team based on the best technical achievement.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

We're looking (mostly) for people who do things:

DEVELOPERS - Developers have software development skills and want to create or further develop a project.

HACKERS - People with hardware development skills that want to create or further develop a project

DESIGNERS - Design is only important if you want people to discover your project, product or app -- and actually use it. We're looking for people with both mad and relatively calm design skills.

ENTREPRENEURS -  "Idea People" who can build teams, pitch in and make things happen are often really valuable.  Whether your idea is chosen or not, we're glad to include people with skills in finding resources, executing and completing projects.

Tickets are available on a limited basis. Any minors under 18 must have parental consent and adult supervision.

SPECTATORS - Anybody is welcome at any point of the event. The main public events of the Hackathon are the kickoff/pitch sessions, presentations, and awards.

SPONSORS - There are many ways for companies to partner with the Hackathon. To learn how you can provide support, please contact us.
